Our client who is a large manufacturer of machinery is located in the West Island of Montreal.

Job description :

 

We are currently looking for a sales/business development representative based in Montreal.

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in selling equipment or similar positions (an asset).

The candidate must be able to travel to Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes. In addition, experience in organizing and participating in trade fairs is an important asset.

Responsibilities :

 

Management of existing accounts,

As the sales manager of a territory, visit existing customers regularly,

Obtain regular information on current and future projects,

Business development,

Call potential customers directly,

Identify and confirm potential customers and decision-makers,

Participates in debriefing, brainstorming and sales and marketing meetings,

Organize and participate in trade shows,

Negotiate contracts,

Planning,

Develop an annual action plan, including a schedule of quarterly sales calls,

Develop sales objectives for existing and potential accounts.

 

Qualifications:

Sociable,

Excellent negotiation skills,

Ability to deal with diverse personalities,

Motivated to learn,

Dynamic and well organized,

Results-oriented,

Professional appearance,

Good communicator,

Excellent in English and French (spoken and written),

Knowledge of packaging equipment is an asset,

Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and MS Outlook,

Experience with long sales cycles,

Able to travel,

Participation in trade fairs,

Experience in contract negotiation,

Cultivate and maintain a professional and positive image.

Permanent full-time position,

Valid driver's license and car,

Competitive compensation, with base salary plus commissions,

Travel expenses paid by the company.
